Clapboard House just picked up a story of mine called "The Vet." They previously ran a little story of mine here (scroll down a bit).

Really like the story. You are nearly as good of short story writer as you are poet. Have you tackled a novel, like the rest of us? I have three finished manuscripts, three unread novels gathering the dust of ages in the back of some closet myself. I was proud to post this on my site too.

Thanks Glenn. I have three novels on the shelf as well, but I probably won't do anything with them. One is weirdly experimental, one is nonfiction, one is YA. I also have the bulk of a collection of linked stories. I'm pushing forward. I have a couple novels in the works, but it's hard to find the time. I'm trying to remedy this for next summer by applying for residencies. Of course, I have a possible writing camp, a trip to England, etc. next summer as well, so who knows. This is why I have more success with poetry--I can squeeze that in better. But such is life.
