19. Rabbit Factory, by Larry Brown. Not bad.
20. Billy Bathgate, by E.L. Docotorow. Glad I finally got around to reading this one.
21. Transmetropolitan Vol. 1: Back on the Street.
22. Transmetroplitan Vol 2: Lust for Life. Both of these were loaned to me, along with the third volume, by a friend. The writing was weak, so I didn't finish the third one.
23. The Outsiders, by SE Hinton. I had a couple hours...
24. Collected Poems, by Paul Laurence Dunbar. I've been looking to expand my American Lit. curriculum. I might include a couple Dunbar poems...

12. Stiff: the Curious Lives of Human Cadavers, by Mary Roach. I was really looking forward to this one, but it actually didn't do much for me. A few interesting tidbits, but otherwise, pretty blah.
13. Hyenas, by Joe R. Lansdale. One of the Hap and Leonard stories. Didn't care for it. Even though it's a novella, it's too fat.
14. Devil Red, by Joe R. Lansdale. Another Hap & Leonard story. Better than Hyenas, but still not on the level of the earlier stories.
15. Zeppelins West, by Joe R. Lansdale. This is a much better sample of Lansdale's true greatness. Very wild mashup with the Wild West Show, Captain Nemo, etc. etc. Good stuff.
16. Flaming Zeppelins, by Joe R. Lansdale. Even better than Zeppelins West, both of these being narrated by Ned the Seal. One of the funnest books I've read all year.
17. Only as a Body, poems by Jessica Young. I'm reviewing this.
18. A History of the Human Family, a poetry chapbook by Sasha Steensen. I didn't care for the style of these poems. There were moments in which nice images emerged from the hazy experminetation. Not my thing.

1. Colic (i.e. gas)
2. poopy/wet diaper
3. TMI overload
4. I havn't eaten in 15 minutes.
5. I tried to eat but was so full, I threw up.
6. Somebody hit me in the head--oh wait, that was me. Hey!
7. Daddy tried to do something other than hold me.
8. Mommy is trying to sleep. It's too quiet & that scares me!
9. It's so loud! Someone shut that baby up. Wait...
10. I don't know why I started crying, but I'm damned well going to finish.
