I remember finding this poem on Press 1. It is a long one too. One of my favorite stanzas is:
It’s hard to love man who loves only being loved Because love is not so much forgiveness as making one aware of one’s flaws in order to evince necessary change Process Love is not Cheetos Love is beets spinach (I Love Spinach!)
The bear that have crossed my path have all been sighted from a car, not a hiking trail. Did you ever see GRIZZLY MAN? It gives one pause for sure. My grandfather shot a bear at one point and skinned it out, beheading it. I remember looking at the muscularature, and realizing how very much like a man it looked, much more Anthropoid than I had previously considered; that somewhere apes, man, and bear branched off on the genetic tree.

Thanks. It was my favorite for a long time. Might still be.
