Winter in the Northwest, close to Puget Sound, is often sparse, erratic, and sometimes as a blessing just icy mornings and rainy days--so even as a kid we never had the neighborhood snow tubing or sledding action. The hills in Seattle are very steep too, and some kids sliding got hurt bashing into cars, or cars bashing into them. At some point probably kids will have to wear
helmets while sliding. How did we all ride bikes without them in the past?

We did things when we were kids that would be considered child endangerment nowadays.
