My favorite line was/the girls started down graduation hill, barefoot in white dresses/. There is almost a poem lurking in that one sentence, that one image. Nice wrap-up for Derick & Ruthie; not quite, not totally a "happy ending", but hey, Ruth is pregnant, and their marriage might strengthen. It was a great foray into teaching, into marriage, into life. Thanks for it.
